Karisma was formed at the start of 2020 by four musicians from a variety of musical and cultural backgrounds. They play their own compositions. With flamenco music as a harmonic basis, Karisma borrows from the jazz idiom and includes rhythmical motifs from Cuban and Latin American music. It combines the Andalusian elegance of the flamenco guitar with the drama of the saxophone, the strong lines of the double bass and mellow beats of the percussion. The result is a tantalizing sound.
